About Kate Beckinsale

Kate, an English beauty and well known actress, began her career while she was attending Oxford University's New College. She was studying French and Russian literature, but her ultimate goal was to become an actress.

Kate’s first break was in Kenneth Branagh's film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (1993), where she starred opposite Robert Sean Leonard. In 1994 Kate and her gorgeous long legs left school to pursue her acting career (lucky for us).

Her first big, U.S. role was as the leading lady in Pearl Harbor (2001). Pearl Harbor was one of the highest grossing films of its year. After it, she has starred in Serendipity, Underworld, Van Helsing, Click, The Aviator and Whiteout.
